November 2013Personal Statement
I am 15 years old and a rising sophomore at Fort Chiswell High School in Southwest Virginia. I have played travel baseball since I was 8 years old. Over the past seven years I have played for various teams in three different states: Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee.I have averaged playing 45-50 baseball games per year since I was 8 years old. My freshman year at Fort Chiswell I was moved up to the varsity baseball team and started as catcher for seven games and was moved to third base for the remainder of the season. I believe all the playing time I received as well as the personal instruction from hitting and pitching coaches helped to make the jump to the varsity level possible.
My goal is to continue my baseball career at the college level. Continuing to play this sport that I love while receiving an education hopefully with the help of scholarships would definitely be a dream come true.
