I have been playing baseball since i was 5 years old, when my dad first handed me a baseball. I am blessed to say it has consumed my life in all kinds of ways. I am currently starting my junior year at my high school. Although my team didn't go extremely far in playoffs, I believe these past two seasons helped me mature as a better player from a team perspective, as well as individual. My collegiate goals and aspirations include going to a college that excels in the academic and baseball scale. I want to be the best I can possibly be in terms of my individual performance, and more importantly also be a factor to help my team win at all costs. I care about helping my team win games more than my individual stats. When I'm off the field I consider myself a lighthearted and positive person. But when I'm on the diamond, I lock in on the game or practice and do my job with 100% effort at all times. I'm focus on the task at hand, and also think about future situations and how to adjust to them. I try to not let any mistake change my attitude, as well as any praise or good play. I want to have the same mentality whether I go 0-3 or 3-3. I don't want to let my actions consume my attitude. When I go out there, I want to win. Second place doesn't interest me. In terms of academics, I don't slack off. I do all required assignments and aim for an A in every one. I maintained a GPA above 3.5 during this past season and plan to continue doing so. My goal is to maintain a 3.5 gpa or better my entire high school tenure. Whatever team I'm on, I want to do everything in my power to help them win. Baseball is my passion, and I don't think anything (excluding family and grades) will have a higher place than it in my life. My goal is to go as far as I can in the sport, and make an impact on every level.
