Christian Kim '16 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing baseball since I was six years old. Since the day I stepped onto the diamond, I have always dreamed of playing at the next level. I am fully aware that being given the opportunity to play a collegiate sport is a once in a lifetime opportunity. 

I am consistently working on improving my skills while also pushing myself to be the biggest, fastest, and strongest athlete possible. I strive to act as a good role model for my fellow peers and those players younger than me. One part of being on a team I truly enjoy is the, "family" I really get to become a part of. I feel that I truly thrive in close team environments, and I constantly encourage and support each of my fellow teammates. I am a very coachable player and a very hard worker; I won't stop until I accomplish what I set out to do. I guarantee that no matter what obstacle that may be put in my way, I can find a way to overcome it. There are no excuses for excuses.

In any subject, whether it be sports, academics, or playful games with my friends, I continue to pursue a competitive attitude. In school, I maintain a 4.27 GPA, having achieved straight A's since my freshman year. I also know how important it is to be involved in my community, so I actively participate in several volunteering groups such as National Honor Society, Robinson Key Club, and Robinson Science National Honor Society. My goal is to one day become a specialist in a medical field, so I continue to pursue my aspirations by being the Vice President of the Robinson Medical Society. 

I want to attend a college where I can work hard both in the classroom and on the diamond. I am open to all options that would fit both my academic and athletic interests. Playing college baseball would be a huge blessing, and I hope to play at a good level of competition where I could continue to enjoy the sport I have loved and continue to love. I hope to build good character being part of a college team and also change the lives of those around me.
