Like most kids my age, my dream is to be in the MLB and to make it the ultimate dream I would play for the Boston Red Sox as a catcher. By getting to the majors it would be life changing. It would mean I could help my family and the community I love.
In reality though I know I must have goals and that to reach my goals I must work very hard and be responsible for where my future goes. At the end of my eighth grade year to the beginning of my ninth grade year I battled mono which caused me to miss time from school and my cumulative GPA dropped to a 2.95. I am currently holding a 3.57 GPA in my tenth grade year but hope to get that to a 3.7 or better. Outside of playing baseball I like to serve my community by doing community service. I volunteer at a halfway house, I mow the elderly's yards and this year volunteering through school to help with a breast cancer walk. I, also, have a second love which would be playing my saxophone. I have participated in band and jazz band since sixth. Jazz music has become one of favorite types of music.
In college I plan to double major in Accounting and Business Finance, however, I would also like to be the catcher for my college team and help them to a World Series or a major title. I joined NCSA in the hopes that a coach would see my ability as a catcher, my being a left handed power hitter but more importantly to know that I am eager to learn more on and off the field which would advance my abilities to help me and my team. I love challenges and championships. I am a team player willing to do whatever I can for the win.
The final piece of the puzzle is at the end of my college years. Whether an MLB team sees me as worthy enough to be on their team or return home to put my degree to use where the most important people of my life are I know I will be happy. Mono had me down for a little but I am working harder then ever and going full force ahead.
Thank you for looking at my profile.
