2015 SkillsPersonal Statement
My love for baseball was cultivated from when I was three years old and started attending games with my parents at a local university. Watching those college baseball teams helped me realize how much I wanted to not just watch, but participate in what was happening on the field. Over time, I grew to appreciate the demands that are placed on these players, both on and off the field, as well as the bonds that they formed with their teammates.
As a pitcher, I believe two of my best qualities are the movement on my pitches, as well as my fortitude on the mound. Even when struggling, I fight through and do whatever I need to do to get outs. In the 2014 season for my St. Thomas high school team, I had a 6-1 record while helping my team reach the quarterfinals of our TAPPS 5A playoffs. I am currently a top starter for my high school team.
In addition to being part of a competitive baseball team, my other main goal is to attend a highly respected and challenging college or university. Academically I have maintained a 90 average while taking mostly advanced or AP courses, in a very competitive high school.
My high school team is coached by Ryan Lousteau (504-452-7657) and my summer team, the Houston Heat, is coached by Paul Tadlock (713-705-7308). I hope you will consider me when looking for a left handed pitcher.
