My one goal is to acquire a degree that will prepare me to have success in future endeavors.  Being able to accomplish this goal while still pursuing and playing the game that I am passionate about would be an incredible opportunity.  Through baseball, I have learned how to overcome adversity, how to lead others, and how to work relentlessly towards an objective.  These skills directly translate to both the classroom and to career preparation.  I intend to use these skills in all aspects of my life in the present and in times to come.

I am a good candidate for your team because I will remain disciplined and respectful no matter the circumstances.  I will not settle for anything less than my best and in doing so will encourage my teammates to act similarly.  My grades have been and will continue to be my highest priority.  I will never put myself in a position that would compromise the high standards and values that I hold myself to socially, ethically, academically, and spiritually.
