Hello my name is Clayton Roop. I'm currently a Freshman at Frank Phillips College (Head Coach Mario Eramo). I graduated from South Grand Prairie HS (Class of 2016). Like most baseball players my love for the game started when I was five years old. Through the years of playing multiple sports (baseball, basketball, football) I realized my passion lies on the diamond.
I have made a lot of sacrifices to stay dedicated to the game of baseball. I make good choices and have good character on and off the field. I have always maintained a good relationship with my teammates and coaches by being the best individual I can be, I look forward to the future with many of these life long relationships .
Living in North Texas I have had the opportunity to play year round (Fall/Summer) and in between playing I have taken private lessons, hitting, throwing, worked on speed, agility and strength. I enjoy competition and pushing myself.
I consider myself very coachable and I'm always willing to put in extra work and reps to make myself the best player I can be and push my teammates to be the best they can be.
I know I'm ready to play at the next level and become a successful college athlete. I have not decided 100% on a degree plan but I do have several ideas of what I want to do in life.
