Marshall Dike '16 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Marshall Dike, and I am an outfielder in the Class of 2016 at Fort Worth Country Day in Fort Worth, Texas. I have played on the Varsity team since I was a freshman, and as a sophomore I started every game in right-field. During the summer of 2014 I played for the Fort Worth Cats 16u team, and I started every game in the outfield and had 115 at-bats, hitting .340 with an OBP of .435. We played in the premier division in our tournaments, playing some of the best competition in the nation. This summer I am playing for the Fort Worth Cats 17u team. I have a 94 out of 100 GPA at a rigorous college preparatory school, and I received a 1,960 super-scored on the SAT. I try to focus not only on academics but extracurricular activities as well. I am the Student-Body President, as well as a member of the Honor Council. I believe that these leadership abilities carry over onto the baseball diamond and allow me be a good team player and set a good example. My goal is to play baseball at the highest level possible while receiving a degree in economics or business management from a strong academic school. To achieve this goal, I work each day with dedication and drive to be the best that I can be both in the classroom and on the field. Thank you for your time.
