Braden McMahan '16 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coach, My name is Braden McMahan and I am a student athlete at Byron P. Steele high school. I am very interested in furthering my education, and using baseball to do so.

I am currently a Senior at Byron P. Steele II High School located in Cibolo, Texas Div. 6-A. My primary position is RHP which I have been a varsity starter since my Freshman year. On the mound, I throw 4 pitches which all 4 of them I can command at any time for strikes. I have topped out at 85 and consistently throw between 81-83. During my Junior season, I  regularly started at First Base when I was not on the mound. Throughout High School, I have worked hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA and will be graduating in June of 2016. On the mound, I work harder than anybody on the field, and I hope to be able to use my skills to play collegiate baseball.

Some things that I would like you to know about me is that I am very competitive in everything that I do. When it comes to bettering my future, I will do anything I can in order to make my dream of being successful come true. I am very coachable when It comes to pitching, because I want to be the very best that I can be. I love the feeling of command on the mound and knowing that the fate of the game rests in my hands at all times. I feel that even though I may not be the hardest throwing pitcher around, that I make up for it in having good command and extreme confidence in every one of my pitches. I am not afraid to pound the strike zone and let the batters put the ball in play and allow my defense to work for me.
