My name is Richard Sanchez, I am currently a senior at Banquete High school. I have played multiple positions, but feel my strongest position is 2nd base. I have received many awards in several positions through out my high school career. I have been a captain for my team since I was a sophomore. With that being said; being captain has played a huge role in my high school career, I have learn to take on the responsibilities in being a team leader, on and off the field. My speed is a major key to my success through out the years. Over the years, I have learn to utilize my speed and experiences to be a team player and play where I am most needed depending on the game situation arisen. Coming from a small town has its up and downs, one down fall has been getting scouted by colleges as most prefer going to bigger high schools. But at the same time, that has made me a stronger person and way better athlete. I also know how important " no pass, no play" rule is in affect which makes academics my top priority. Currently I am ranked 24th in my class, and have acquired a 3.73 GPA. I have learn not to take no for a answer and with hard work and dedication anything is possible. I've always dreamt of playing college ball since a little boy and I will work hard to achieve that goal.
