Personal Statement

TopTenn Baseball Pitchers Showcase (Jan 12, 2013): Cole possesses a really short, quick and deceptive arm action. His FB was in the 82-85 mph range but gave the perception of it being faster. The FB showed some arm side run and sink. He was up in the zone at times but when it was down, it proved to be a really good pitch. His breaking ball was good at times and showed an ability to spin the ball well, 64-66 mph.

Cole looked to be really athletic and moved well. His delivery didn’t reflect his athleticism and looked to hold him back at times. With an increase in tempo and momentum, he could see a jump in velocity and more consistent depth with the breaking ball. Overall, I loved his arm action and his ability to move. There’s more there and Cole is one to watch in the class of 15.

TopTenn Baseball Invite Only Showcase (September 21, 2013): Cole a 2015 from BGA ran a 7.45 60 time and threw 74 mph from first base. At the plate the switch hitter showed a short compact swing with bat speed from both sides of the plate, the right side may be a little ahead of the left but still a threat with the bat from both sides. In the field he has good actions and a good arm that works at 1st. Footwork is a plus and hands are good. On the mound Cole showed a quick arm at the event. Very deceptive arm action and moves extremely well, athletic. Coles FB was in the 80-82 mph range and his breaking ball proved to be an above average pitch with late life at 64-66 The Ch was a quality pitch with late life and sink at 68-69. Overall, I like his athleticism and arm action and look for him to be a guy coaches come to see!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
