Ever since my first year of little league I have had one goal in mind, and that was to push my career in baseball as far as it could go. The next step to take for me is playing at a collegiate level. I am the most competitive person you will find in every aspect of life. I love competing and I believe it brings out the most in people along with pressure. Along with the passion to compete, I will work harder then anyone to get what I want in my life.
Between the lines and in the classroom I bring everything I have every day. My hard work in the books is keeping my GPA and class rank excellent and I plan on keeping it that way. I am willing to go through any obstacle to compete at the college level in baseball and overcome any challenges in my way. I put the hours in every day and enjoy thinking about what the other kids I compete against are doing while I'm in the gym lifting or taking batting practice because I know they are not putting in the time I am.
I feel as if I'm a team leader in every sense of the term. I compete best when I am setting an example and picking up my team. I will play to win every time I step on a field, and if I see another teammate down I will be the first person to pick them up. On the field and off I have what it takes to be a leader. I am a quite high strung player too and know how to get my team going with some adrenaline. My ambition, determination, desire, and relentlessness is what separates me from the "good" players in my mind, which is why I would be a fit for any team.
My main position in the field is as a catcher. If I'm not there I am usually in the outfield. Even though those are my main positions I can literally play anywhere on the field (with the exceptions of 1st base and pitching). I have practiced and had time at second base, third base, every outfield position, and catching. I'm a complete utility player and I won't settle with anything less then perfect from my performance at whatever position I am assigned to. Where I really stand out as a player is at the plate. For as small as I may seem I pack a pretty big punch with my bat. I bring a confident outlook to every plate appearance I receive and take the most out of every at bat. Even if it is the worst at bat I've had in years I will just learn from it and go up my next appearance with more confidence then the last.
Playing college baseball is my dream and a once in a life time opportunity for me. With the hard work that I have put out every year to be the best student athlete and the ideal fit for any team at the next level, I'm hoping the opportunity to play comes knocking at my door.
