Dakota Kross '17 Recruiting Profile

Going into college I have goals of receiving a college degree in political science while maintaining a GPA of 3.4 or above. My collegiate athletic goals are to help the program I play for win games while being a fierce competitor on and off the field.  Currently,  I am a 3 sport varsity athlete with a 4.0 GPA out of 5.  While playing 3 sports I have worked to maintain and show academic excellence while trying to become better physically and mentally in all 3 sports.  I have shown that I am able to excel in the classroom and on the athletic field which I would like to continue in my college career. Being a standout 3 sport athlete (football, basketball, baseball) is very uncommon today and that separates me from other athletes.  I am also a switch hitter in baseball and aggressive both on the bases and in the outfield.  Another thing that separates me from other recruits is that I am also an active participant in my community,  participating in soup kitchens, clothing drives, special olympics and more.  Athletically I pride myself in showing heart and hustle in anything I do whether it be hitting, throwing, running or lifting weights.  I put my academics first because I know that what I do in the classroom and community will result in me becoming not only a smarter person but also a better one and will help me achieve my college diploma.  If given the chance I am sure your university and program will see this first hand.
