Joseph Eggler '17 Recruiting Profile

    Continuing my education and baseball carrier into college has always been a dream of mine, my ultimate goal is lifetime involvement in the sport I truly love, Baseball. I learned my hard work ethics, core values, and good moral character from my military father at a young age. I pride myself on my ability to adapt to the situation and continue to develop and improve my skills in Baseball as well as academically and socially. I am a team player that understands the team first concept, when I need to be a leader I’m obligated to be one, including making the right choices off the field even when not popular with my friends or teammates. I bring a highly competitive and positive attitude to the field every day. As a lefty I've played many different positions even including playing as a catcher. These experiences have given me a better understanding of the game from several different aspects providing me a true understanding of the Game I love. I've played on many different teams since I was young, somehow we have always found a successful combination of players and pushed each other to be the best team we could be. 

    Academically my goal is to finish my education and achieve a position where I would be able to help others achieve their goals. Attending a college that challenges me to compete to my potential on and off the field would be the best fit for me. My ultimate goal is to earn a degree centered around athletics. I dream of being a coach or a journalist some day, with the support of a great College program and coaching staff to support my teammates and I combined with my hard work ethic and positive mental attitude I will be able to achieve that goal. Finding a college that would challenge my both athletically as well as academically pushing me to achieve great things would make my dream a reality.
