Playing college baseball has always been my goal. I have always loved baseball more than other sports I've played (basketball and football). I currently play QB for my high school (5A) in Oklahoma. Football is king in Oklahoma and playing QB is something that I have put a lot of work into but, for me, there is nothing that compares to baseball. I am a good student (3.8 and 27 ACT) and so I want to find a university where I can play baseball at a high level with a group of committed teammates and at the same time get a great education.
College athletics has helped many in my family get through school. My dad played baseball at San Diego State University (1990-1994), my mom played tennis at San Diego State University (1989-1993) and then coached women's tennis at LSU, SDSU and University of Tulsa (for 10 years), my Grandfather played QB at Oklahoma University (in 1960s), my Uncle played QB at Princeton, my cousin played womens' Volleyball at Pomona College in CA and my other cousin recently finished his four years of mens' tennis at Duke University.
Since football ended in November, I have been working very hard on increasing my strength and I simply cannot wait for my high school and summer travel ball season to start up.
