My name is Jefferson Wyatt Harris, and I will be a Senior at Putnam City North High School in the Fall 2014. I am currently ranked 33 out of 483 students at North, which puts me in the top 10% of my class. I have taken both the Act four times with a composite score of 26 and a super score of ENGLISH 25, MATHEMATICS 29, READING 28 and SCIENCE 27. I have taken the SAT once with a score of 1100. This Spring our high school won the 6A Regional Championship that propelled us into the State Tournament. Also this Summer, our high school won the Red Dirt Summer League Championship going undefeated in the tournament. Our high school is looking to return to the State Tournament in the Spring 2015 and bring home the championship before we all graduate!
I'm 6'5" tall and weigh approximately 180 lbs., and have played SHORT STOP and RIGHT HANDED PITCHER since my Freshman year on the Varsity team. I plan on building a career around Sports Management with a minor in Coaching. I have played Varsity football and Varsity basketball for two seasons but have decided that my final year I'll focus entirely on building my baseball skills and dedicating more time to building my arm strength for both pitching and infield. I will be taking the basketball court in a effort to continue my winter conditioning. I will be looking for a school that I can play baseball at a competitive level and that will allow me to get an quality education. My athletic goals are to play baseball at the highest level and to represent the college or university as an excellent student.
I have included a PROFILE COMMENT that my former Head Baseball Coach, Rod Richardson, put out for me this summer and my current Head Baseball Coach, Dale Pearson :

Recommender Title : Head Football Coach/Formerly Head Baseball Coach
Recommender Organization : Putnam City North High School
Playing Ability : Jefferson was probably the best athlete in our school before he hurt his knee. He is now about a year removed from the injury and you can see his athleticism rounding back into form. He is a very good high school pitcher with velocity that tops out around 84-86 with a nice CB. His long and lean build will allow him to put on some very good weight when he gets to college. His best baseball days are ahead of him. when he adds weight to his frame he will be force to be reckoned with.
Personality : Jefferson is a very intelligent, laid back young men. He never gets to up or down which has really allowed him to excel as one of our to district game pitchers. His grades are very good.

Recommender Title : Head Coach
Recommender Organization : Putnam City North High School
Playing Ability : Jefferson is the most athletic player in our program. He will start at Shortstop, be the number 1 on the mound, and bat in the 3 hole in the line up. He is a versatile player and can play anywhere in the infield. He has great range and a great arm. His footwork enables him to always been in the correct position at the right time and make the hard play look easy.
Personality : Jefferson is very coachable and makes adjustments as needed. He is not a vocal person, but leads by example and others follow. His work ethic is superb as well. He is always helping the other players out and is like another coach at times. He is very positive and comes ready to work everyday.

I can describe myself as a person who is driven to compete, and compete at a level that I'm challenged to try to meet or exceed. I have played baseball, basketball and football in little league, all the way up through playing at my high school. I find myself at my best when the pressure is "on", and I have to produce results. I believe I'm a "silent leader" who others look up to and expect action. I enjoy the game and art of baseball, and wish to learn more at the next level. I think I've been prepared by my previous Head Baseball Coach, Rod Richardson and our new Head Baseball Coach, Dale Pearson for my Senior year, to be a competitive force at the college level.
Please take time to see review my status, learn more about me and view the videos that are available on my profile. I certainly THANK YOU for your time reviewing me as a potential 2015 recruit into your program.
Respectfully,
Jefferson W. Harris
