My goals as a college student athlete aren't just to succeed on the ball field, but to also expand my abilities in the classroom and off the field. The reason why I'm a good candidate for your program is because as an athlete I am the type of guy that in practice, offseason or during a game I refuse to get out hustled. I am never the guy that doesn't prepare himself for the upcoming season or game. On the field I am an all-around player; I have all five tools and I have and can play any position on the field. In my mind, nobody in the game of baseball will or can out work me. I am constantly working on my game even if I can't find a tee and some baseballs or a glove. I know that each rep counts and I will never take a pitch off. I've sacrificed many things to get myself into a position to succeed in my life and I'm willing to sacrifice and even suffer through failures in the game, when needed, to find success in it. I work myself to the limit at everything I do on and off the diamond. I'm the hungriest guy on and off the field. In the classroom I apply myself, and try to better myself as a student. One of my goals as a student is to major in sports fitness and medicine, and to excel above my peers to get the highest grades and best education possible for myself. Off the field, I am proud of the fact that I am known as a leader. I'm not the type of guy that likes to be in the spotlight alone; I think of myself as a team player first, but I know on and off the ball field when I'm needed to step up I can. I'm proud of my character because it's given me the ability for my peers, my teammates and my coaches to know that I'm the guy who's going to do what is necessary and help the team out in practice, on the ball field, in the classroom and also daily life.
