Scott van der Poel '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Scott van der Poel and I am a baseball player and honor student at Salisbury High School in Salisbury NC. It is my goal as an athlete to play college ball at the highest level as possible, while achieving academic success as a accounting/business major. I stand 5'11" and weigh 170 lbs. My sixty time is currently 6.88 seconds. Starting varsity my sophomore year, I have proved to be a determined player, a fast learner, and make adjustments easily. When not playing and training with my school team, time is spent playing on the Black Knights showcase team and at independent training facilities such as IMG in Bradenton Florida. Versatility and persistence helps in my ability to play several different positions. I always give 110%, never backing away from a challenge. I have the drive it takes to achieve on a college level.
