My name is Richard Spinella, Jr. I am a second baseman at Sauquoit Valley Central High School and will graduate in 2013. For the past two years, my junior and sophomore year, I was the leadoff hitter and starting second baseman on our Sauquoit Valley varsity team that has enjoyed great success. I am happy, thankful, and proud to be a part of such a successful team. I earned all-conference honorable mention as a sophomore and first team all-conference all star as a junior. I was second in my conference this year with a .510 batting average. On the field, speed, fielding, and determination are some of my most valuable assets. I ended my junior year with a 96.22 average. I am a very hard worker, both academically and athletically. I am often the first to arrive at the field and the last to leave.
At this point, I am planning to pursue a degree in the medical field, so a college that offers a variety of medical programs is ideal. I would like to attend a college with a great "college town" atmosphere. My goal is to play baseball at the highest level that my abilities allow, so I am completely open to all divisions. I would like to play on a team that I could make an impact on and help be successfull. I am open to all colleges in the eastern half of the United States, and in some midwestern states, mainly Colorado. In college, I plan to continue to work hard to be successful both in the classroom and on the field.
