Thompson Rick '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Thompson Rick and I am a rising Senior at Alamogordo High School in Alamogordo, New Mexico.  I am a competitive baseball player, and my interest in playing college baseball is equally matched by my interest in business management.  Although baseball is my passion, I work even harder in the classroom.  In fact, I have earned a 3.75 GPA while taking advanced and honors classes.

I was a starting 1st baseman and pitcher for our JV team during my freshman year, and was called up to the Varsity team during our state tournament. In my sophomore year, I started full time catching, with a few games at first. Now in my junior year I am a starting pitcher as well.  In my spare time, I volunteer at my church and umpire for the Alamogordo Little League, as well as help with my younger brother's travel and Little League teams.  My experience playing with different teams, ranging from Alaska to Virginia, has given me an opportunity to work with a wide variety of teammates, all of whom with I have enjoyed playing.
