Michael Palestri '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mike Palestri and I am from Morristown, New Jersey. I have had a strong love for the game of baseball since I can remember. From day 1, I was out on the field practicing and playing a game that i knew I would love. Baseball since then has become a massive part of my life and i cant imagine myself not playing it. I started intense and competitive travel ball at the age of 11 and haven't stopped. I have played all over New Jersey and a number of other states as well. Many coaches have told me I have tremendous talent and that they can see me playing at the next level. I currently am a sophmore at Morristown High School and was called up to varsity a few games as a freshman and started on the team as a sophmore. I hope to continue my success not only on the field but off. I take pride in my studies and know they are most important. That is why i take all honors classes and recieved honor roll. I engage in a number of clubs and community service as well as being the president of my class. I set my goals high, that is why I am challenging myself in baseball and in school. I have aspirations of playing divison 1 baseball and portraying my talent to a number of college coaches. I want to get myself out there to show college coaches what i have and what i can do for them. My whole life has been spent preparing myself to ultimately reach my goal and play college baseball. in addition, i have goals of attending a high level academic school and attend law school at a prestigious college. I am challenging myself everyday to not only get better at baseball but also in school and in life. I hope one day my dreams come true and i know they can and it is up to me to reach my goal and succeed.
