Personal Statement

My name is Matthew De Paris, I am 5'10" and I weigh 165 pounds. I play varsity baseball for John F. Kennedy Memorial High in Iselin, NJ. I have been a starter on varsity since my sophomore year. I start in left field and look forward to playing in my senior year. My biggest dream is to advance to play ball at the next level and I'm willing to do anything that it takes. Whenever I'm on the field I play like it's my last time. I play the game with huge passion and i can offer non-stop fire to the baseball field. I really want to play baseball in college, however I'm also extremely devoted to my academic career. I also participate in the key club at school, which is a club built around community service. I am also involved in the Mustang club, which involves me and my teammates going around our community mowing lawns, moving furniture or whatever is needed. If i do get the chance to play baseball in college it wouldn't matter what team or what division, i just want to play.
