Personal statement letter

As a hard working individual and a focused athlete, my goal is to play collegiate baseball. Growing up, I have aspired to play at the next level. However, as a grounded individual, I have always maintained realistic goals. While I continuously work hard and improve my skills, playing college baseball would be a dream come true. I am open to any college and any level that will help me achieve my educational goals. I would like to further my education and pursue a degree in criminal justice. My goal is to get a job in law enforcement after I graduate.
?As a well-rounded individual, my attitude both on and off the field is always exemplary. I bring my three “H’s” every time I set foot on a field: hard work, hustle, and heart! As a catcher, I am a team leader with a positive attitude. I believe this is the most important role a player can have, and one that I am always willing to fulfill.
?Coming from a family of seven, I have been part of a team, so to speak, all of my life. As a family we are a unit; much like that of a baseball team who works together to achieve a common goal. Nothing in life has been handed to me. I know all too well what hard work and dedication is. I bring all of this and more to the field every time I step foot on it.
?Doing well academically is of utmost importance to me. After all, it is the foundation of a good living. I put equal efforts into both my academics and athletics, striving to work hard at all times in order to achieve the best results possible.
?As the second oldest in my family to hopefully attend college, financial aid is important. My brother attends college based on this, and I hope to do so as well.
