Tom Lichty '17 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I can remember, I've had a bat in my hand. Right when I could sit up on my own, my dad gave me a Fischer Price baseball tee and bat, and I would swing away. That evolved over time to having a batting cage in my garage, where my older brother and I would go and hit every chance we got. When I was 10 years old, I won the National Championship Title of the Aquafina Hit, Pitch and Run competition that was held at Yankees Stadium, beating out over 600,000 other athletes.  I was lucky to have my brother, who is 2 years older than me and currently playing baseball for the Texas A&M Aggies, to learn from and practice with. I always played 2 years up and that attributed to developing me into the player that I am today. I am a 4 year high school baseball Varsity Letterman, who was named 1st Team All State as a Junior. 

It has always been my dream to further my education while playing college baseball. I believe that I will be a valuable asset to any collegiate team by being a good student and an all around team player, in doing whatever I can to help my team win. I am known to be a humble, yet fiery player. I am looking forward to continuing on in my educational/baseball career at the next level.
