I have loved the game of baseball for as long as I can remember and have always played against older kids to challenge myself. I believe competing with and against players that are better than you is the best way to challenge yourself to play at a higher level. I have been fortunate enough to be a starter, whether it was as a first baseman or as a pitcher. The team’s needs are what matters most to me, I have always felt fortunate to be able to take the field and help in any way I can. Some of my best character traits are; very strong work ethic, great attitude, very positive, happy demeanor, coachable, athleticism and leadership ability.
Playing baseball at the college level has always been a goal of mine. I am a highly competitive person and do not like to lose, however I also believe failing at something only makes you stronger. One of my favorite saying has always been, “Sometimes you learn more from a loss than you do a win.” I know getting to the next level will take a lot of time, effort and work. I am very driven to succeed at everything I do; to me hard work is the reward, not the punishment. I am open to attend a college of any size in any geographic location and have not made a final decision on my major as of yet, however I am leaning toward majoring in business management or accounting.
I was awarded all tournament pitcher at a Perfect Game tournament event and recognized during batting practice, as well as infielder during a Perfect Game Showcase, both this past summer. Previously, I was awarded most outstanding pitcher award for our Fall 2014 Summerlin Panthers 18u team. Our fall program consisted of approximately 25 freshman and sophomores split into two different teams and we entered tournaments as both a 16U and 18U and team. I was given an opportunity to play on the 18U team, which really helped better prepare me for the 2015 season. Again, I was awarded most outstanding pitcher.
