I started playing tee-ball at the age of four, and have played ever since. Baseball became my biggest interest in 2009 when I was going through some tough times with losing a sister and needed an outlet. I watch the St. Louis Cardinals, and try to us the approach that Matt Carpenter uses at the plate. Through baseball, I have learned that I hate to lose. I think this is what always keeps me diving for a ball or leaping for a home run even if we're down by 15. My goals for college is to study economics and become an economic analyst after I earn my bachelors degree. I think the biggest obstacles I have had to over come would come down to two big ones; one being my broken hand and the other being cut my first season playing real baseball. After being cut I worked as hard as I could, and made the team the following year. I broke my hand during my junior year, while batting almost .550 and having my best year, I came back in a very long 3 weeks and got a hit in my first at bat back, but didn't have a lot of the strength in my hand to drive the ball as well. As far as unique skills go, I think my understanding of the game and open mind to new ways of playing the game set me apart from other players on my team and in my area. Also, my willingness to give up my place to fill a hole on defense aren't matched. My sophomore year I played every single position on the field!
