Max Hunter '18 Recruiting Profile

I have played baseball since I was 5 years old.  Along the way, I have learned how to be someone who leads by example.  By hustling to my position between innings.  Helping a teammate out by bringing them their glove and hat, talking about our next at bat, or needing help with a school assignment.  I have played on competitive teams throughout my childhood and now into high school, but the friendships I have made on those teams and the character experiences I have had along the way are the things that make me the ball player and individual I am today.  The bond with my current and previous coaches and teammates has given me the experience to be an impact student and player of the game, as well as a successful student in the classroom.

I look forward to being part of a college program that allows me to continue my growth as an individual person who will obtain a college degree, as well as a talented ball player.  Trophies and titles are great, and of course I want to play, compete and win.  But, I also want to enjoy those teammates and coaches around me, and to learn from them.  I want to enjoy those times in the cages in the middle of January, as we prepare for the upcoming season.  I want to share the same team goals and dedicate myself to being a contributor.  The work and dedication I have put in since I started playing baseball has prepared me for that opportunity at the college level.  I can't wait to get started!
