Personal Statement

My name is Logan Pitts and I am a 6' 5" 230 pound right handed pitcher. It wan't until my 8th grade summer that my pitching career took off and I fell in love with the game. This 2015 season I pitched 38.2 innings with 43 strike outs, 17 walks, 19 hits, and an ERA of 1.41. Now that I am well into my college search I would love to attend a school where I could academically and athletically succeed. I desire to go somewhere close to home but am always willing be out of state. I am also looking for a school with a commendable business program. As for my character I am always willing to put the team ahead of me. On the mound I give 110% for my teammates so when the time comes they will do the same for me. Due to my positive influence and hard work I would be a wonderfull asset to any team. I am a coachable ball player ready to sacrifice this portion of my life to help keep a team succesfull.

Logan pitched agains the TX STX Noonan team and threw 7 inning sfor a complete games. He gave up 3 hits and one run. Zero earned runs, 1 walk and 11 strikeouts. He had 1 hit batter and 1 wild pitch. He threw 109 pitchesand 75 strikes. He had 4 groundouts and 6 flyouts. He was 20 of 29 first pitch strikes.69% ratio. Great game for the 5-1 win.

Logan was asked to pitch for the 18U Prospect team in their tournament. He pitched 4 innings gave up 4 hits, 3 runs, 1 earned run, 5 walks, and 4 strikeouts. He threw 87 pitches with 41 strikes. He had 3 groundouts and 5 flyouts.. He was 8 out of 21 on first pitch strikes. According to the coach he was not getting the best umpiring behind the plate. The coach stated that he pitched a very good game against a good team.

Logan did a great job keeping this team under control.

On 6/10 Logan pitched agains the Lids Indians Bulls Black. He threw only 61 pitches to win the game 5-1. He is now the record holder for the STL Prospects for the fewest pitches to win a 7 inning game.
