Brian Alewine '13 Recruiting Profile

I've been able to live my dream every day...to play baseball. From the time I picked up a plastic bat when I was 2, to today, I have been in love with this game. It's not like football or basketball, that has a clock and is played in a certain time. A baseball game plays out differently every time. And as a pitcher, I get to set the pace, and control the action. What could be better? My goal is to play baseball for as long as possible, in the most competitive way as possible. I love the challenge, the excitement, and the rush I get when playing at a high level. I love being a part of a team, of having teammates depend on me, and being dependent on them. My aspirations are still being formed. Right now, I want to study to be an athletic trainer. I would love to still be a part of the game of baseball even when my days of playing are over. I want to lead a good life and be a person who makes a positive mark in the world. I am lucky, because the game of baseball has given me the confidence, work ethic, and maturity to do anything I try to do.
