Will March Pitchi...Personal Statement
I am preparing for my senior year at Park Hill High School (5A) in Kansas City, MO. As a pitcher I have learned to lead by example. I enjoy this responsibility. In sports, as in life, one must have a plan, be dedicated, and be willing to do what it takes to execute the plan to increase the odds of a successful outcome. Being a positive teammate who understands his role to help the program is my frame of mind. Following my junior season I was selected Park Hill's Pitcher of the Year and received 2nd Team All-Conference Honors.
Obtaining a college degree is my main goal but playing baseball at the collegiate level has been a dream of mine for many years. I want to join a program in which I can contribute and be pushed to maximize my potential. I am prepared to put in the work it takes to be competitive on the field and in the classroom to reach my goals.
Sports has taught me many things to include integrity, responsibility, cooperation, dedication, how to handle winning and losing respectfully, how to be humble, to give back to younger athletes, to listen, and many more….. Given the opportunity I will do my part to help us create a positive experience at the next level.
