My collegiate goals are striving for excellence in both academics and athletics. I want to pursue a career I am passionate about that will also challenge me and allow me to expand and build on knowledge that I already have. I am interested in the field of criminal justice and/or psychology. Maintaining a high GPA is important to me and is something I am prepared to work hard for.
Athletically my goal is to be a member of a successful team who all have the dream of being in that dog pile in Omaha. I want to play for a program with a record of excellence and strong commitment to player development. I feel that I would be an excellent addition to any team because of my respect for the game, my coaches and my teammates. I have been a disciplined, hard-working player since a very young age, and have had many opportunities to develop strong leadership qualities. My coaches have taught me to play every game aggressively and with passion. That is what I strive to do every day-- to put it all out there on the field for my teammates and myself.
What sets me apart from others in terms of my character is the fact that I have the grit and will to work harder than anyone else. I have a burning passion and commitment to the game that I believe is rare even among those who have played for many years. I am also a tenacious problem solver, and if confronted with a tough situation I will search any resource available until I find an answer or solution.
At the Mizzou Showcase last summer I was clocked at 90 MPH three pitches in a row. I am a constant 84-88 MPH pitcher.
