My name is Colin Oswalt. I have played travel baseball since the age of 9, and I am determined to pursue a collegiate baseball position. I have participated in weekly catching and batting lessons so I can be the best player I can be. I am self-motivated to excel academically and athletically. As a member of the Tupelo Titans, we received the 2016 "Team of the Year and Hall of Fame" award for the southeast USSSA region, finishing first in Mississippi for the USSSA 12U AA division. I was the starting catcher as a seventh grader at TCPS on the Freshman team and will be starting on the varsity team during the 2017-2018 season as an eighth grader. I have recently joined the Adidas Prospects 14U team to continue to grow as a player and to begin showcasing for colleges.
My desire to pursue a degree in business is based on my desire to own my own business and to play in the major leagues. My excellent academic record while having a busy weekly schedule of team practices, private lessons, and church reflect my ability to manage time appropriately to be a successful athlete. My physician parents who are the children of educators have taught me that hard work pays off and that you must be willing to set your goals high. I am strong in my Christian faith and continue to pray for guidance in making decisions about my future.
