I am a 5'8" middle infielder and corner outfielder from Minneapolis, Minnesota and will graduate in the 2014 class. I have played baseball all of my life and currently play for the Saints Sports Academy travel team, as well as the varsity team at my high school, Saint Paul Academy and Summit School.
Academically, I'm looking for a strong college to further my academic career. I have amassed a 3.94 GPA at Saint Paul Academy and Summit School, and scored a 2030 on the SAT. I also scored a 33 on the ACT in early February, 2013. I am very involved in my school as well, as I am a 2 year President of the Student Political Union, a President (and 4-year member) of the Student Government, a writer for the school newspaper, a member of the school orchestra, and a member of the varsity Debate team. I also recently earned a Silver Medal Award on the National German Exam.
Athletically, I am looking to play for a strong DIII program. I am a hardworking player and like to get after it on the field. I put in a lot of work during the offseason to get better, and play hard every day during the season. I try to play the game hard and right at every opportunity. I enjoy getting my uniform dirty and always make sure that I do the little things right over being flashy. I care more about helping my team win than I do personal statistics, and always make sure that I am prepared mentally for each practice and game. As a sophomore, I was a starter for the Hamline Red Legion team, and in the fall of my Junior year I played an age group up for the Saints Developmental Baseball Academy. Earlier this year, I ran a 1.69 10 yard dash, a 4.37 pro agility, a 2.99 20 yard dash, a 5.23 40 yard dash and a 7'3" broad jump as well as a 23" vertical.
My dream is, and has been for many years, to play collegiate baseball. I want to go to a college with a very strong business or economics program as well as a strong history program that will challenge me academically. My ultimate goal is to maintain good grades and achieve an academic scholarship while playing baseball. I am willing to play anywhere in the country, although I am most interested in the East Coast. I would like to be an important contributor on a college team, and I know that my dedication and hardwork will help me achieve that. I live and breath baseball 365 days a year, and I am always one of the hardest working players on the field during practices and games. I am also a leader on and off the field currently, and I know that this quality will carry over into college.
