Denver Jackson '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Denver Jackson. I am a cancer survivor and a god fearing, family loving, dedicated ballplayer. I dedicated myself to playing baseball and chasing the dream of playing pro ball when I was ten. I dream of going to college for nursing, forensic sciences, or business and to do what I love most, playing the beautiful game of baseball. When I'm not on the field, I am continuously improving on myself and addressing any flaw that a coach points out. I push myself beyond my limits to succeed and I will not stop working until I reach my goal. If I get the chance to play at the collegiate level, I will promise to be the hardest working athlete on the field. I don't just play the sport to play it, I play it because I married myself to it.

I am a hard working athlete, student, and overall individual. I take the game and my studies very seriously and leave no time for rest unless I have earned it. I am also a Christian man who loves to help others and encourage others to push themselves. Not only do I do it in my everyday life, I do it in the game. I don't wish bad things upon my opponents, I wish them the best of luck and play my hardest in order to help bring home a win. In the beginning and the end, it's all about respect and pointing out areas for improvement. Sportsmanship and enjoying the game is what makes baseball so beautiful. In the end it's not about who sucked and who didn't, it matters on who played their hardest, who brought home the win, and where the team can improve.

Overall, I believe that it would be a privilege to play college ball and, again, if I you believe I have what it takes to play for your team, I will not disappoint and I will work harder than anybody else on that beautiful diamond that I will get to happily call my home. In my eyes baseball isn't just some sport, it is a lifestyle where you can succeed only if you are dedicated.
