Zachary Sawyer '18 Recruiting Profile

    When you have been playing sports your whole life it's hard to imagine yourself without them; so I have asked myself, "What is it going to take to continue playing?"  To that question my answer is dedication, to be coachable, and to be confident.  My first statement of dedication was through the weight room and ever since my freshman year, I have seen tremendous gains in my strength and speed.  I now can find my name on the record board in the weight room as a sophomore for squat, dead lift, 40 yard dash, and dot drill.  My typical summer day involves football training in the morning, baseball drills and basketball drills in the afternoon, followed by either a baseball game, basketball game or football passing league at night.  I also feel that being coachable is another step to making it to the next level.  I always try to do what the coach asks of me without question.  Being confident in baseball is a major key to success.  When I step in the left handed batter's box or out at 2nd base, I feel right at home.  I am confident that I'm going to get on base or make the defensive play.  If you are looking for a dedicated, coachable, and confident baseball player, I would fit perfectly into your system.
