Peter Barry '17 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coach,
       Thank you for taking time to view my profile. I feel I would be a great candidate for a Collegiate Baseball Program. As you will see from my statistics, I have excelled in all different levels of baseball. As a Sophomore at  (Central MA Div 1 Champions) St Peter Marian High School, I batted .357 with 18 steals and 26 runs from the lead off spot. I am the starting in Center Fielder, and was named Captain going into my Junior Year. I  also batted .300 with a .448 OBP for my American Legion Team.
        I have not only excelled on the playing fields, but I have done extremely well in the classroom. I worked hard to achieve high grades. I am taking all Honors and AP classes. I am a member of the National Honor Society, and will continue to work hard, and understand the importance of doing well in school.
        Some of the qualities I posses are that I am hard-working, always on time, and am a silent leader. I work hard at every practice and game. I do not believe in taking plays off. In order to be the best I can be, It is extremely important to work hard, and never be late. I want my teammates to be able to rely on me, and I feel that being on time sets the right example for the rest of the team. I lead by example. My teammates look at me as a leader. I continually strive to make myself better, and always look for ways to assist my entire team in excelling.
        It is my dream to play baseball in college. I am a three sport athlete, and feel that playing multiple sports has helped me become a better all-around athlete. I would like to play baseball on the East Coast of the United States, and I feel that I would be able to contribute early on. I continue to work hard to improve on my skills. I will be  ready when the time comes for me to go to college.
