My overall goal in life ever since I was 10 years old was to play Major League Baseball. As a high school freshman, I was a late season call up to the varsity squad after playing very well on JV. Now I look to keep my swing going and my defense strong. Every summer I play on two or three club teams, such as Legion, Showcase, and AAU. On several teams I have been named team captain or co-captain. I' am a tough kid who never gives up. I have been told multiple times from my peers that I have leadership qualities on and off the field, and I' am always there for my team for better or for worse. I always strive to keep a positive attitude. I do not let little things get me down, I just get back up and try again because I know that eventually I will get it right. I have faith in my ability both on the field and at the plate. I set goals for myself all the time, and each time reaching for a higher standard. I am proud of the progress that I have made so far and will keep reaching for and working toward my goals. Finding a good match on a college team is the next step for me. Whichever team I end up with will find that I bring a positive attitude and a good work ethic to their program on and off the field. I look forward to meeting new people and working with new team mates and coaches.
