Joseph (Joey) Bodmer '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello,
         My name is Joseph (Joey) Bodmer. I am currently a junior and a member of the 2017 graduating class at South Carroll High School located in Sykesville, Maryland. My goal is to play baseball at the highest level that I can as well as furthering my education. In the classroom I am a very dedicated, hard working student who takes all honors classes, completes all work on time, and studies for tests and quizzes to make sure that I get the best grade I can. On the field I have taken on the same mindset since I started playing when I was five. I try to stay focused on the game and always play my hardest no matter if we are winning by one or loosing by twenty. I am a very versatile player because I can play anywhere in the outfield and I can catch as well. I have also had a little time pitching and I have also played some infield but concentrate on outfield. Another thing that sets me apart from other recruits is the fact that I switch hit. I starting switch hitting when i was twelve and have really began to focus hard on it in the past two years. I hope to keep progressing my game and go on to play college baseball.
