Cody Schouster '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cody Schouster. I am 6'0 and weigh 180 lbs. I have been play baseball all my life, and truly love nothing more than to compete on the diamond.  Since around eighth grade coaches of schools, and travels teams have told me my future will be on the mound. I couldn't always muscle my fastball past hitters, so i concentrated on location and hitting my spots.  By my eleventh grade year, I took what coaches have been telling into consideration, and I began gearing myself up to become a dominant pitcher.  I have been working in the weightroom in the offseason, but more importantly I have a feel for throwing the baseball that i believe places me among to high school pitchers. 

I am extremely motivated to play baseball at the college level. I do not want any College or University to ever look at me and say that I didn't completely challenge myself in the classroom and on the field. I am aware that there is excellent baseball played in all divisions of the NCAA. I am really looking for a forum where I can continue to grow under experienced coaches while playing at a high level of baseball.

Regarding school size, I am naturally leaning towards a school with a decent size student body. I am the type that is constantly in communications with my teachers. However, I do look forward to go on many more college visits, so this preference my change. Geographically, I am looking for a school on the East/West Coast or Central. But, if the right opportunity presented itself, I would chose the path that sported the best coaches and most competitive baseball, regardless of location.
