Hi, my name is Connor Kelly. I recently completed my junior year at Fort Hill High School in Cumberland, MD. I hope to go to college to study the field of engineering or physics. I would be a good candidate for your team because I am the hardest working person on any team. I know almost all recruits like to claim they are the hardest working recruit, but only one of those people can be telling the truth, and I am that one person. I will work when it is 20 degrees outside and I will work when it is 100 degrees outside. Last year in the offseason, I gained 20 pounds in the weight room, this offseason, I gained an additonal 20 pounds. I will always be the first one to show up and the last one to leave. This is the work ethic that sets me apart from other recruits. I was not blessed with natural speed, strength, or skill. I have had to work to become better at every bit of my game.
I am different from all other recruits, like I said, I will always be the first one to show up and the last one to leave. I always work on keeping my character in check. I try not to show my emotions on the field (good or bad). As a catcher, I always build relationships with umpires by having conversations with them and being friendly with them to help my team get the close calls. From an academics standpoint, I am ranked third in my class and I work relentlessly to balance straight A's with great baseball skills. I am a leader in the classroom and on the field. I would often help classmates with math and physics when they needed help, and I was named captain of my senior legion baseball team. I was born to be a leader. In June, I was selected to play on the MSABC futures team, consisting of the best juniors in Maryland. I really hope you consider me for your team. I will do whatever it takes to be successful on your team, in school, and in life.
