Being able to be the varsity catcher has been the highlight of my high school career. It has taught me how to step up as a leader and work hard for the main goal. However, I feel I grew the most when our team lost the first round in playoffs. That experience has helped me become a better person and player. It helped me focus on how I played the game and how much work I put into baseball. I have learned the value of teamwork, sacrifice, and leadership from this experience. I'm looking for a program that will fit me athletically as well as academically. I plan on finishing high school with a 3.0 GPA or higher and plan on doing the same thing in college. I believe that I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the work ethic and leadership skill to make an impact on the program.
