My passion is baseball. I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old, starting with t-ball. On my varsity high school team, I play center field. During games, I direct the outfield. I am confident in my fielding and throwing, and am confident of my ability to think and assess quickly any game situation that involves fielding/throwing the ball from the outfield to the appropriate place in the infield or home plate. I am extremely competitive, do not like to lose and am constantly working on improving my baseball skills. For the past year, I have participated in a weight training program that has allowed me to gain 15 pounds of muscle and has made a great difference in how I am hitting the ball. I have improved in the areas of hitting doubles, stealing bases and have an on base percentage of over .400. I welcome instruction and critiques of my game as I only want to improve. I am a team player and support my teammates on and off the field. I am a good student, study hard, and am looking forward to graduation. I want to attend college and perhaps major in business or management. I know the importance of receiving a college degree and I am confident that I will obtain that goal. I have never been in any kind of trouble, in school or out, and I don't hang out with people that do. I believe in myself as a future college baseball player and college student.
