Davion Downey '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Davion Downey. I am a sophomore at Warren East High School and baseball is my life. Between hard work and dedication I strive to reach my goals both on and off the field. I would love to play at both a college and professional level one day.  I know that there is always something for me to learn and I'm eager to learn. I take constructive criticism well and I am continuously looking for ways to improve my game.I feel that I would be an asset to any team because I am so dedicated. As a freshman I was top three in batting, RBI's, and leading scorer. I was also ranked 9th for pitching in the region. As a sophmore I made all district, region as well as all state. I primarily play center field but I am also my school's #1 pitcher. This year I led my team with 65 strike outs. My stats are available on my high school team website.  I am leader within my school and recently  attended a training to assist with the prevention of bullying within our school.
