My name is Brett Daley, I am currently 17 years old and I just finished up my Junior at Treynor High School (IA). I am an Honor Roll Student who currently carries a 3.56GPA and consider myself a good student with good study habits. I am constantly working in my off season time to improve my hitting and defensive fundamentals so I can be the best player that I can be. I will b playing fall ball again this year with Omaha Elite. That season opens up Aug 20, and 21st at Iowa Western CC who is hosting the tournament. I should have my complete fall schedule in the next week or two that I can post and or send to any coaches that are interested. I posted my stats as of the last regular High School season game at the bottom of my Personal Statement.
My last 60 yd time was 6.52 and 6.54 (7/20/15 at Wichita State) and my most recent infield velo was 86mph at the Iowa HS Junior Showcase on 7/31/16 in Des Moines. I have worked very hard on becoming a switch hitter and this season I hit as a switch hitter and could not be more pleased. I have developed really well from the left side displaying the ability to hit with power as well as Avg from both sides of the plate. I ended the regular season with 5 HR's (1 from the left side) I have a strong arm, good hands, and have excellent range on defense. I am fast on the base paths and ended last season with 35 SB out of 39 attempts. I am a 4 year starting SS on my High School Varsity Team but can play any position in the infield and outfield, but my primary outfield position is CF. I also will pitch sometimes as well as catch occasionally. This season I was selected 1st Team All Conference SS, 1st Team All District SS, and 1st Team All State SS. I am also a varsity basketball player, and a varsity track team member. I just finished my Jr. Track season and had a good finish at the State Track Meet. I qualified in the Long Jump finishing 11th, 4x400m Relay we finished 19th, 400m I placed 3rd at 50.01, and the 400m Low Hurdles which I won the State Championship in a time of 53.168. I have not yet decided on an academic path for college, but I do know that I would like to play baseball at the highest competition level possible. I am not limited to any certain geographical region of the US.
