Kamden Glade '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kamden Glade, and I will be graduating from Sioux Center High School in May, 2013. I have played baseball since I was in kindergarten, and I have consistently been one of the best players on every team I've played for. Because I live in Iowa and how our season is set up, I have been unable to play on any club teams. However, I have participated in Total Baseball Development's Fall League in my sophomore and senior year. I also hope to play for the Bancrofts American Legion team out of Sioux City this spring.

I started catching as my primary position in 5th grade. I have continued playing other positions as well, but catching has always been my passion. I caught almost every game for my team as a middle schooler, and caught every inning of every game for my freshman team while also being the backup for the JV team as a freshman. My freshman year, I was also able to play every inning of every game at both the freshman and JV levels, hitting in the heart of the order on both teams. As a sophomore, I played full-time for the JV team as well as starting 9 games at catcher for the varsity along with some more playing time at other positions. As a junior, I was the back-up catcher to a senior while DHing and pitching, earning 2nd Team All-Conference honors.

I would love nothing more than to continue playing baseball at the college level. I know I may not be the most talented, but I am one of the hardest workers. I also understand that a scholarship may be somewhat of a stretch for me, but all I am looking for is a chance to prove myself somewhere.
