I have loved baseball with a passion since I could first remember, and began throwing a baseball around with my dad not long after I began to walk. I am blessed to grow up in Decorah, Iowa, home of one of the best academic high schools in the state as well as Head Coach Dennis Olejniczak, the winningest active high school baseball coach in the United States. While playing under Coach O, I learned the hard way that nothing worth having ever comes easy and that you get out of something what you put into it. I earned All-Conference Honors as a sophomore catcher in my first year as a varsity starter (pitcher/catcher), earned 1st Team All-Conference Honors as a junior catcher, and I will continue to push for excellence in my final year of high school. Character is a huge deal for me personally, which is why I strive to be the best person I can be by helping others through volunteer programs at my high school (Silver Cord). I hope to continue both my academic and athletic career in college with a current interest in biology. I am no stranger to hard work and will give everything I have for whichever school I play for, which is why I would be a great nominee for any team at the next level.
