Personal Statement
4 years ago stepping onto a baseball diamond for the first time in my life I didn't know what to expect.
Now, after travelling to 5 different countries and 4 different continents I have been extremly blessed to experience exceptional levels of play of baseball. These opportunities obviously did not get handed to me on a silver platter. They came with a cost of nothing more then dedication, persistance and putting in hours and hours of relentless work.
The one thing about me is that I am a person of great pride. I am not a prideful person, but instead a person of great pride. I take great pride in knowing that if I get the opportunity at something I work extremely hard to outwork that blessing and make the most of the opportunity.
I take pride also in knowing I have all the essential qualities of a great leader. I fearlessly lead from the front with positivity and confidence and give an example to follow, learn from and feed off of while also having the humility to lead from the back. I am very coachable as I know there is always something new to learn, especially in this great game called baseball.
I've always believed that my academics and athletics work hand in hand. If one is not working then the other one can't happen so I work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the diamond.
I want to attend a college that is a perfect fit for me where I am challenged in the classroom and on the field. I am open to all options, but preference would be a Junior College. Ultimately I just want to find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible.
I know if I just get the opportunity in a good program and with good coaches who will not only challenge me as a player but as a person I will work my behind off to be the best I can be and make my family proud.
