Personal Statement

My name is Dalton Stamper and I am 18 years old. I am 5'11" 1/2 and I weigh 150 lbs. My goal, ever since I was young, has been to play college baseball, and like every other baseball player, I want to make it to the big leagues. I am a junior enrolled at Lewiston High School and I have an accumulative GPA of 3.5. I have been working on practice SAT questions so I can improve my critical reading score when I take the actual SAT test. I would really like to attend a college in the Pacific Northwest because I would be closer to my family and they would be able to come see me while I am in college. I would like to attend a Division 1 college but it is not my only option. My major I have decided will either be in sports marketing or education but I am not entirely sure which one I want to major in.

I feel that I would be a great asset to anyone's team because I am a hard worker both in practice and in games. I believe in the theory that you play like you practice, so I give 100% in practice so when it comes to games I give 100% as well. Some other qualities that I posses that would be a good asset to any team are determination, heart, responsibility, and confidence.  I am also a very team oriented person. To me, team is defined as players, coaches and their staff and I believe that teamwork is the key to success. I have been tagged as a very coachable player from previous coaches and I continually take in instructions from my coaches and apply it to my game even if it does not come with immediate success.  I appreciate your consideration and I hope I get the opportunity to show you my abilities and my love for the game.
