Playing baseball at the collegiate level has been my goal throughout the years. As an athlete and student, I have continuously set high expectations for myself, displayed discipline, character and leadership skills on the baseball field and in the classroom. I have always aspired to give more and to do so with dignity and respect for the game, competitors, students and teachers. I know I have the mindset and skills to not only be an above average student but an above average athlete.
Coaches have always counted on me to be a leader on and off the field and I have taken that role seriously. I love the camaraderie of any team and I believe it is crucial in building success. I respect teammates for their accomplishments and more importantly, I am respected by them. I have the desire to learn making me very coachable. I use failures as a stepping stone to success and never shy away from hard work.
My strong work ethic carries over into the classroom as well. I know the importance of a good education and am fortunate to attend a high school recognized as one of the top academic institutions in the State of Idaho. I maintain a high GPA and volunteer at a local Christian preschool, school sponsored activities and umpire at local Little League tournaments.
My goal is to attend a university with an academic program that will lend to my desire to study medicine and offer me a baseball program that will continue to build my skills as a baseball player in hopes of reaching the next level of play.
