Ever since I have been a little boy, I have wanted to play baseball in college. I played basketball and football along with baseball for most of my life. In 2011, I decided to stop playing football so I could focus on basketball and baseball. Recently, I decided to stop playing basketball in order to focus on what I really love: baseball. I will do whatever it takes to play ball in college. When I get there, I don't want those four years to be the last of my baseball career. Baseball is something that I love with a burning passion and I always will. I work on my game everyday, constantly looking for ways to improve. My overall goal is to be one of the best student-athletes to play baseball in college through 2015-2019. Another one of my goals is to live by something I heard from Derek Jeter and Tom Glavine. They stated, "There is always someone out there who has more talent than you, but there is no excuse for someone who works harder than you." That quote always keeps me motivated. As I have said before, I will do whatever I can to go as far as possible in this game.
When I play baseball in college, I promise to be a very dedicated student-athlete. I will be the hardest worker on the team and I will do everything that a leader should. Every decision I make will be with the teams best interest in mind. I will bring a plan to the plate at every bat, looking to drive a run in or move a runner over. Behind the plate, I will be a guy who works well with the pitchers. I have called games on my own for both my high-school and travel teams. I am always trying to better my knowledge of baseball by reading or studying games when I am watching them. I am a student of the game and I will continue to get better day in and day out. I love this game, and if somebody gives me the chance to play, I will give them all I have in every practice, every inning, and every pitch.
